Airborne EM Sensing QFS has been investigating the potential of airborne sensing in military and civilian applications. We conducted a test of a system based on electric field sensors mounted in a pod attached to a US Geological Service aircraft that yielded successful detection of power lines. QFS sensors were used for the initial data collection phase of DARPA’s Low Altitude Airborne Sensing System (LAASS) project, and we are continuing our airborne work through various projects and programs.
